Back in 2022 I stumbled across this website: https://1001albumsgenerator.com
Every day it gives you another album from the book ‘1001 albums you must hear before you die’. I signed up, and before I knew it I was on a musical journey that would take me a full 3 years.
I prepared to write about this a few months back as I approached my 1001th album, but when I reached day 1001 I was informed by the website that there were actually about another 100 albums to go.
I love the idea of using “winter” as a verb, eg. “I quite like the snowy mountains. I think I will winter in a cabin there.” It’s just a shame that the routine of life prevents us from being able to use the word that way very often.
Well, I’m happy to be able to say “I wintered at home this year”. Today is my last day of long service leave.
I’ve decided to put together this website to bring together all my personal+business related projects and services. It also serves as something of a blog, for those rare occasions I feel like sharing my musings.
About the site design I’ve taken a minimalist approach both to the look and feel of the site, and the underlying technology used to build and run it.
It was built using Hugo, and is published using Nginx.
